Enfora has announced the release of a its new Wireless Portfolio, a leather/mesh portfolio case with integrated battery and 802.11b capability designed to connect to the Tungsten E and Zire 72 Handhelds via the Mini-USB connector, expanding the functionality of these two palmOne handhelds.

"Wi-Fi networks continue to grow, and Enfora's innovative solution gives Tungsten E and Zire 72 handheld users a cost-effective way to expand their communications capabilities," said Mike Lorion, vice president of vertical markets at palmOne. "It's a terrific solution for our customers."

The Wireless Portfolio is designed to integrateinto a protective binder all the wireless data components necessary to provide seamless Wi-Fi connectivity for these handhelds. In addition to offering high-speed data communication for the Tungsten E and Zire 72 handhelds, other features of the Enfora product include a self-contained, long-life battery and the capability of simultaneously charging both the portfolio and the handheld through the standard palmOne-supplied charger. Also important is the added flexibility offered to the user by leaving the SD slot available so it can be utilized for storage of photos, music, applications, etc. The attractive binder, which zips closed, provides added protection for these palmOne handhelds against accidental drops as well as space for business cards, student ID cards, SD cards and credit cards.

The Wireless Portfolio (WLN0104) is available for purchase for a suggested Retail price of US$149.00. It will be offered through palmOne's online store as well as through multiple Enfora Online retailers including Amazon.com, Mobile Planet and PC Connection. Enfora will continue to make these Wi-Fi accessories more accessible to palmOne users by actively growing their distribution channels to include large national retail stores.
