Developed and hosted by FusionOne and available for download to Verizon Wireless Get It Now customers, Backup Assistant automatically safeguards customers' address books against phone loss, damage or theft, and eliminates the need to manually transfer contacts when a phone is replaced or upgraded.
Verizon Wireless customers with select Get It Now-enabled phones, including the LG VX6000, can sign up for Backup Assistant and complete their first backup in a matter of minutes. Backup Assistant then performs secure backups automatically only connecting to the network if information in the address book has changed. The backup happens when the phone is not in use, or on a schedule the user selects.
Verizon Wireless Get It Now customers can find Backup Assistant in the getGOING shopping aisle in the Get It Now virtual store. Verizon Wireless customers with select Get It Now-enabled phones can download Backup Assistant for US$1.99 monthly access.
Once customers sign up for Backup Assistant they can also view, edit or print their mobile phone address books online and entering their mobile number and security PIN code. Any changes made to the online address book will automatically synchronize back to the mobile phone address book in a matter of seconds.
