Wellington Windows Mobile User Group report

Posted on 11-Oct-2004 19:39 | Filed under: News

The meeting on 7 October had the presence of three Microsoft MVP Windows Mobile Devices (Darryl Burling, Chris Auld, Mauricio Freitas) and users had the opportunity to learn more about always-on e-mail (presentation available on download link below), a Blackberry and Windows Mobile comparison and some notes about mobile application deployment.

Three users won a copy of Symantec Antivirus for Handheld each (courtesy of Symantec), and one lucky user won a brand new HP iPAQ rx3410 Pocket PC, courtesy of Geekzone.

The organisers want to say thanks to everyone who came along, and thanks to our sponsors: Gen-i, Unisys and Geekzone. If you were not there, The WMUG is working to make a video of the night available. More details on this later.

The next Wellington User Group meeting is November 4 at Microsoft (Wellington). Users present to the last meeting had a taste of the topic to be covered.
