Xtra and the New Zealand Rugby Union have built a new Xtra Super 12 Web site to house exclusive Xtra Super 12 content, including video highlights, interviews with Xtra Super 12 coaches and players plus regular insights from All Blacks coach John Mitchell.

As well as exclusive content on the Xtra Super 12 Web site, Telecom Mobile will be utilising the advanced capabilities of its 027 (CDMA) network to make a range of exclusive Xtra Super 12 features available on mobile phones. To get exclusive and free Xtra Super 12 content on their 027 mobile phones, rugby fans can register their 027 mobile phone number at xtrasuper12.co.nz

Xtra Super 12 content available on xtrasuper12.co.nz and free on 027 mobile phones includes:
  • Weekly exclusive interviews with Xtra Super 12 coaches and star players – a new service for New Zealand rugby fans (available on xtrasuper12.co.nz and free on 027 mobile phones)
  • Virtual Super 12 - the hugely popular Super 12 on line tipping game (available online with text alerts of your favourite team’s game result, weekly points update and last day reminders free to 027. From the beginning of March Virtual Super 12 players will be able to enter their picks via 027 phones – a first for Virtual Super 12)
  • Full result details (available on xtrasuper12.co.nz and free on 027 mobile phones)
  • Breaking news - important Xtra Super 12 news and announcements (available on xtrasuper12.co.nz and free on 027 mobile phones)
  • Video highlights of each week’s top tries and best plays (available on xtrasuper12.co.nz)
  • Profiles and bios of players and coaches (available on xtrasuper12.co.nz and free on 027 mobile phones)

“It’s absolutely perfect territory for both the Internet and mobile phones. When you take that content and combine New Zealand’s favourite Internet destination with our most advanced mobile network you’re in for a genuinely new experience,” says Xtra General Manager Rod Snodgrass .
