SimWorks is about to release an update of their Anti-Virus software for Symbian based smartphones, including versions for Series 60 (Nokia, Sendo) and UIQ (Sony Ericsson P800/P900/P910).
Support for EICAR test signatures
inbox scanning and removal is now supported;
preferences have been expanded to allow users to suppress the graphical interface while auto-scanning and to specify that they wish to be prompted prior to the deletion of infected files;
a viewable log has been implemented; and
the application now scans items as they arrive in the inbox providing timely protection (no waiting for the next auto-scan or for the user to request a manual scan).
