Motorola and 3 announce new 3G models, including a Symbian based smartphone
Motorola and 3, one of UK's 3G mobile network, announced the availability of three new handsets. The new handsets support 3's range of video mobile services including person-to-person video calling, full length music videos, Barclays Premiership highlights and a selection of entertainment available as streaming media.

The Motorola A1000 (pictured) is a Symbian UIQ based smartphone, with touch screen, Bluetooth, 24MB RAM, a-GPS, 1.2megapixel VGA integrated camera. It comes bundled with Picsel Document Viewer, supporting Adobe PDF, Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint.

The Motorola E1000 is focused on multimedia resources. It comes with a 1.2 megapixel camera, built-in MP3 player, video playback, 260k colour LCD and twin 3D stereo speakers. It is also Bluetooth enabled, and with a-GPS it supports location based services provided bu the network.

The last of the three models announced is the Motorola C975, a compact candybar handset, with a 1.9 inch colour display with built-in VGA camera with 4x zoom. This device also supports two-vide calling.

All three models will be available in the UK from November 2004.
