PalmSource, Inc. announced the third Palm Powered smartphone from GSPDA, the Xplore M28. The smartphone is currently available in Malaysia, China, Hong Kong, Macau and Thailand.
The Xplore M28 joins the existing family of GSPDA smartphones, including the G18 and G88, to provide mobile users with a smartphone that integrates traditional Palm OS PIM functionality and telephony features in a compact form factor. Based on Palm OS Garnet, the Xplore M28 has a built-in VGA camera with digital zoom, MP3 and MPEG4 support, 64 MB RAM/32MB SDRAM Flash Internal Memory Card, 2.2 inch D-TFD 65K colors LCD screen, SMS / MMS / WAP / e-mail / Java support and up to 1GB of memory capacity with Secure Digital (SD) /Multimedia Card (MMC). In addition, the Xplore M28 features a sliding numeric keypad and one-handed navigation five-way jog dial to fit the natural habits of mobile phone users.
The phone is dual band (900/1800MHz) GSM/GPRS capable, with talk time of 4 hours, and 150 hours standby.
