Trust Digital Forensic PDA and Smartphone Tool Gaining Channel Demand

Trust Digital have announced the creation of the Trust Alliance Program (TAP), a value-added reseller program designed to support market interest in its forensic mobile device tool, Trust Mobile Discovery. With Intelligence/DOD contractors ManTech International Corporation and CSCI using and reselling the patent pending forensic tool, Trust Digital is now seeing growing demand from Government Consulting Groups, Security and Risk Analysis Companies, and Vulnerability Assessment Tool providers.

Trust Mobile Discovery forensically scans the network, creating a historical view of PDA and Smartphone assets. Critical to government agencies and enterprises looking to support compliance requirements, this tool provides organizations with the ability to quickly size mobile device penetration as part of their mobile security policy development. Furthermore, no deployment of software onto PCs or mobile devices is required. The product makes forensic analysis possible through its ability to analyze data for remnants of PDA and Smartphone information that effectively recreates device historical usage patterns from the moment introduced into the system.

Gartner's view concerning the need for enterprises to assess and address their potential risk and liability is clear. "The typical mobile device contains a lot of sensitive corporate information," said John Girard, VP and Research Director, Gartner. "If a laptop, personal digital assistant (PDA) or phone is lost or stolen, or it is accessed improperly from the Internet or a shared visitor network, the company and user must deal with the potential business impact of exposures of stored data and network credentials. Even if the targeted use of the misplaced information is minimal, the company and the user can be held accountable for violating contracts of confidentiality, as well as civil and government regulations for the storage and safe harbor of business information."

Trust Digital's products are cross-platform FIPS 140-2 certified.
