The company will be showing its first wearable DVD player during CES 2005 show in Las Vegas. With the eyetop DVD system users can watch movies like they do with CD music.
The Eyetop DVD consists of high quality Eyetop video glasses joined with a lightweight, portable DVD player powered by a rechargeable battery. A custom carrying bag holds the gear so the system is protected and enables users to watch video on the go.
The Eyetop video glasses incorporate a miniaturized LCD screen in the right lens. This side-mounted strategy enables wearers to watch the video while simultaneously staying in touch with their surroundings.
There are separate up and down and side to side adjustments on the video glasses to position the video screen so it is aimed directly at the eye. A
focus ring on the lens produces a clear and sharp image. There are also adjustments to control brightness, contrast, saturation and hue.
Each component of the system can be used separately; the video glasses can be connected to any video device and the DVD player to any standard TV set. The company also says the eyetop video glasses can be connected to video game systems.
