Beiks launches software store for Fossil Abacus Wrist PDAs
Beiks LLC has opened a new section of its Web site devoted to software compatible with Fossil’s new Abacus Wrist PDA. The initial software offerings in Beiks’ store include utilities and a game for entertainment on-the-go. The company plans to expand the product line to include dictionaries and reference works for which Beiks is well known.

Currently available products in Beiks’ software store for the Fossil Wrist PDA are:

  • A+, a utilities bundle that offers five productivity and functionality enhancements in a single package, including HotsyncNow! (simplifies the synchronization between the Wrist PDA and the user’s desktop PC), Business Card (beams personal contact information quickly and easily from within any application), Backlight (sets permanent backlight for night reading or as a flashlight), Quick Launch (allows switching to pre-selected applications without having to go to Launcher first) and Stopwatch (useful in measuring time increments).

  • Same Time is a simple and effective solution to keeping the clock of both desktop PC and Wrist PDA always synchronized and correct.

  • Karateka, the classic karate action game, has been scaled down for game-play on the Abacus Wrist PDA. Karateka enables players to enjoy a quick karate battle, with a wide variety of actions available against computerized opponents, anytime and anyplace.
