Vodafone NZ sending General Manager to top job with Vodafone UK

Vodafone New Zealand has announced that managing director Tim Miles is off to head up Vodafone UK and Russell Stanners, director of NZ business markets, will take over the top job in New Zealand.

The change is part of a wider Vodafone Group announcement. The current Vodafone UK CEO Bill Morrow has been appointed President of Vodafone KK ( Japan ). These appointments will take effect from 1 April 2005.

"This is an amazing opportunity to join one of the founding Vodafone companies and I am very much looking forward to working with the UK team." says Tim. "To me this is a reflection of Vodafone New Zealand and what the whole business has achieved. It also underlines the fact we are working in a truly global business with a readily available pool of resource and talent."

Both Tim Miles and Russell Stanners were General Managers on Unisys New Zealand in previous jobs. The team will start the handover process immediately ensuring a smooth transition.
