Netfront Mobile Contents Viewer released
Mobile web developers can now use a free PC tool to preview on a computer running Windows 2000 or Windows XP how Access Netfront will render their pages. The NetFront Mobile Contents Viewer is available for free download from the special Access Developers' website.

The NetFront Mobile Content Viewer is a comprehensive previewing and testing application that ensures the seamless compatibility of mobile content and mobile web sites with Access' popular NetFront browser.

The software allows developers to view Internet content in the same way as the Access Netfront will show in a mobile web browser. The screen size, font size, and other parameters can be set according to the terminal specifications. It includes the same key operations as a mobile terminal.

The software can be used as a viewer for web authoring tools such as Adobe GoLive and Macromedia Dreamweaver. Like the real Access Netfront browser the software supports various standards:

  • HTML 4.01, XHTML 1.1
  • Parts of CSS 1 and 2
  • ECMAScript 262 3rd Edition (JavaScript 1.5 equivalent)
  • DOM Level 1, Level 2, and part of Dynamic HTML
  • Conforms to SMIL Basic 2.0, SVG Tiny
