Soti has announced the release of MobiControl 1.02, a device management software that provides organizations with a complete suite of tools to centrally manage and control their mobile field force. The software works with Windows CE and Windows Mobile based devices, including Pocket PC and Pocket PC Phone Edition.
It includes automated provisioning of data and software to devices, complete set of real-time helpdesk support and troubleshooting tools, automatic monitoring and correction of problems, automatic configuration of devices, software inventorying, bandwidth management, reporting and more.
This new version brings:
Enhanced support for DAP, Data Ltd, HHP, Intermec, LXE, Nordic ID, and Symbol devices
Automatic server discovery and configuration of devices
New Device Agent Manager tool makes it easy to create, copy, and install device agent software
Ability to force ‘on-demand’ deployment of packages to one or more devices
Ability to configure external IP addresses for servers, and to deal with dynamic device addressing. These features allow MobiControl to manage devices in both internal and external networks (e.g. cellular networks)
