Smartner releases push e-mail service branded as Always-On Mail
Smartner has now released a commercial, upgraded version of Smartner Internet Edition, under a service name of Always-On Mail. The new service provides for private users the same service the company is already providing to some mobile operators.

The services is a real-time push e-mail, where messages are automatically pushed to PDAs and smartphones, without waiting or manual checking. There is no need for a desktop or laptop, neither for a connector program, since all the functionality is server based.

Users can have their POP3 and IMAP4 accounts redirected to mobile devices. Smartner supports a wide variety of mobile devices, including Windows Mobile Pocket PC and Smartphone, and Symbian devices.

The company is offering a free 2-month trial period for Always-On Mail, after which it can be purchased at a price of US$49.95 per year.
