Kyocera Wireless and Alienware working on gaming accessories for mobile phones

Kyocera Wireless Corp. and Alienware Corporation are working together in the co-development of advanced gaming accessories for mobile phones.

The companies expect the new relationship will match Kyocera Wireless' reputation for making easy-to-use wireless handsets and accessories with Alienware's ability to deliver gaming solutions for a wide variety of platforms.

Alienware has produced some popular product in the gaming industry, including the Area-51 and Aurora desktop systems, the Area-51m 7700 mobile desktop system, and the Area-51m notebook system. Kyocera Wireless has licensing agreements with some of the wireless industry's game publishers including JAMDAT Mobile, Superscape and Tetris to bring games to its complete lineup of CDMA cellular phones.

Kyocera Wireless and Alienware plan to unveil their first product togethr during the CTIA Wireless Industry Trade Show in New Orleans on 14 March 2005.
