Xdrive launches mobile service

Xdrive is introducing a new mobile service that gives consumers instant access to files wirelessly through any Internet-connected cell phone, smartphone or handheld device.

Xdrive's new wireless service allows subscribers to access files and folders, send faxes, email documents, listen to music and view slide shows. Xdrive Wireless allows people access to Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, digital photos and videos, QuickBooks files, and MP3s through any web-enabled handheld device.

Users upload files to an Xdrive account, and using WAP technology to access Xdrive the files are available for remote access. Examples of Xdrive Wireless uses:

  • Get files On-the-Go: Get instant access to any file on Xdrive, from digital photos to QuickBooks files.
  • Send and share files
  • Send a fax: Fax documents and files directly from an Xdrive account.
  • Listen to personal music collection through your web-enabled smart phone cell phone.
  • View a Mobile Slide Show

    Xdrive costs US$9.95 per month or US$99.50 for the annual plan. Subscribers have 5 GB (gigabytes) of online storage space and complete access to all of the Xdrive applications and services, including the new wireless feature.
