More secure mobile data with Intellisync and Credant agreement

Intellisync Corporation and Credant Technologies have worked to enhance the mobile experience by making their respective flagship products, Intellisync Mobile Suite and Credant Mobile Guardian, interoperable.

The Intellisync Mobile Suite is part of the portfolio of wireless email and mobile software, while the Credant Mobile Guardian is a security software for mobile devices.

Compliance regulations, such as Sarbanes-Oxley, Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and HIPAA, are mandating protection of sensitive data wherever it is stored, including mobile devices.

According to the companies, some enterprises have been hesitant to secure these devices because security software can be incompatible with the productivity software used to power mobility. By providing an interoperable platform, the companies thing that they can eliminate that concern.

The use of mobile computing devices in the workplace has grown in recent years. However, as use has increased, many companies have neglected taking the necessary precautions to safeguard the sensitive information stored on the thousands of mobile devices moving in and out of their networks on a daily basis.

Intellisync and Credant are working together with a number of global joint enterprise and carrier customers to reach the mobile market.
