Posted on 29-Apr-2005 07:38 | Filed under: News

The StyleTap Platform allows users to run applications, including games originally written for Palm OS handhelds on a Windows Mobile Pocket PC handheld. This application unlocks the doors for users switching platforms to make it a smooth move, and allows current Windows Mobile users to run more than 20,000 applications for the Palm OS platform available.

Applications written for Palm OS platform show up as native Windows Mobile-based Pocket PC programs and operate in the same way. The platform supports cut and past text and bitmaps between Palm OS applications and native Windows Mobile-based Pocket PC programs. StyleTap supports QVGA and VGA resolutions on Pocket PC.

The software runs on Windows Mobile 2003 for Pocket PC, Pocket PC OS 2002 and Pocket PC OS 2000. It does not support Palm conduits, Bluetooth or Hacks implemented with the Hackmaster API.

A preview version of the software costs US$29.95, including a free upgrade to StyleTap Platform version 1.0 when it becomes available.
