PDA Offers helps users looking for offers and discounts
Posted on 20-May-2005 23:25 | Tags Filed under: News

PDA Offers is a web site collecting together discount offers from developers of software and manufacturers of hardware accessories for all kinds of handheld computers, including Palm OS, Windows Mobile, and Symbian smartphones.

The site offers a service sorely needed in the PDA world - helping developers to get the word out about their software and services to customers who are increasingly busy and less willing to search many sites for products.

"As the handheld industry evolves, developers are increasingly competing with each other and with resellers to attract customers," explained Howard Tomlinson, creator of PDA Offers. "This site makes use of the popular aggregation technologies, to allow developers to quickly get offers out to all the handheld users, and hopefully attract new customers as a result."

PDA Offers allows visitors the choice of either browsing the site to find items that catch their eye, or using one of the RSS feeds provided. When used with either an appropriate program or a site such as Bloglines.com, these feeds allow readers to see the latest offers daily without having to remember to check back to the website. They are split into platforms, so a Palm OS user doesn't have to see offers for products for other devices.

No registration is required to use the site or to browse through the latest offers, and it is a free service for developers wishing to list discounts on their own products.
