Innobec Technologies Inc. has released the first beta of its upcoming software SideWindow.
The program is designed to work on devices running Pocket PC OS 2000 or better, together with a computer running Windows XP.
SideWindow allows users to utilise the Pocket PC's screen area as a virtual desktop extension for the host computer. Users will be able to drag their favorite Internet messenger, media player or photo album into the SideWindow, and free the desktop real estate for other tasks.
The software is currently available to interested beta testers that have to sign a electronic NDA before downloading the software. The company says that beta testers who provide feedback will get the final release for free.
