Sony launches NW-HD5 Network Walkman in New Zealand
Sony is introducing its latest 20GB hard disk digital music player, the Network Walkman NW-HD5, with lithium-ion battery technology that provides 40 hours of playback on one battery charge. It is available in a choice of black, silver or red and has a suggested retail price of NZ$599.95 (US$425).

The 20GB hard disk can store up to 13,000 tracks according to Sony.

Combining some innovation and utility, the NW-HD5 features G-Sensor technology that cushions the hard disk from impact, protecting music or other data. This technology also enables a ‘follow turn’ display by automatically detecting the position the portable music device is in when turned on and orientating the seven-line LED display and adjusting button functionality accordingly.

The NW-HD5 comes supplied with quality headphones, AC adapter and a USB cable. The bundled SonicStage 3.1 music management software converts and manages music from CDs in both ATRAC3plus and MP3.
