palmOne, Inc. has announced that its Treo 650 smartphone is tested and available in Hong Kong on CSL's GSM and EDGE (Enhanced Data for Global Evolution) networks.
"The Treo 650 smartphone provides CSL customers with increased mobility and a way to simplify their business and personal lives with an all-in-one device," said Paul Blinkhorn, vice president for palmOne Asia Pacific. "Whether it's reviewing email, viewing a presentation or simply making a conference call, the Treo 650 smartphone lets busy people manage the critical components of their lives while out of the office."
The quad-band-capable Treo 650 on CSL's network brings quality GSM data network capabilities and voice clarity to users. With CSL's commercial EDGE network, customers using the Treo 650 have access to mobile multimedia services at higher speeds.
The Treo 650 smartphone from palmOne combines a compact, full-featured mobile phone with email, an organizer, messaging and web access, based on the Palm OS. The Treo 650 offers integrated Bluetooth technology, a higher-resolution screen when compared to the previous Treo 600 model, multimedia capabilities, a removable battery, non-volatile memory, an improved QWERTY backlit keyboard, and support for direct corporate email access to Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 using VersaMail email software.
