Access Co., Ltd., is supplying its NetFront Internet mobile browser to NTT DoCoMo for deployment in its 3G FOMA N901iS handset. The N901iS is part of DoCoMo’s 901iS Mobile Wallet series. In combination with Access NetFront browser, the N901iS advanced functionality expands to deliver support for both i-mode as well as full Internet browsing.
The NetFront browser software provides N901iS end-users with a rich, full Internet mobile browsing experience that includes the ability to scale down standard Web pages to fit the width of the phone screen, thus eliminating the need for horizontal scrolling while significantly facilitating the mobile browsing experience.
NetFront further enhances the mobile browsing experience by providing support for Internet technologies like Adobe Reader LE a mobile version of Adobe’s desktop Acrobat Reader. Adobe Reader LE, a solution co-developed by Access and Adobe, enables N901iS end-users to seamlessly view and interact with PDF files downloaded from i-mode sites. It supports all basic PDF functions, including scrolling, paging, text searches, bookmarks, and page rotation. Adobe Reader LE is featured in all handsets in the 901iS series, which include the D901iS, F901iS, P901iS, SH901iS and the N901iS.
