Online Media Technologies Ltd. is introducing a Multimedia SDK that enables CD/DVD record/playback under Windows CE. The SDK empowers Windows CE developers to integrate audio recording/playback and audio/data CD/DVD burning into their applications.

The company says its CD/DVD burning solution for Windows CE is compatible with x86-, ARM-, and MIPS-based products running under Windows CE 4.2 and Windows CE 5.0.

Currently the SDK contains components for data CD and DVD burning, music CD ripping, burning and copying, audio CD and audio files playback and recording, converting between audio formats. It supports all modern MMC-compliance CD/DVD drives and all available at present media types: CD-R, CD-RW, CD-RW HS, DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R, DVD+RW, DVD+R DL and DVD-RAM.

Audio formats supported by this SDK are WAV MP3, WMA, AAC and M4A. Also it includes improved and adjusted CD and DVD drivers for Windows CE, which made available not only reading, but also writing (burning) and copying of digital content.

Online Media Technologies Ltd. targets this unique Multimedia SDK for Windows CE to device manufacturers working at various products for multimedia content processing like different multimedia kiosks, set-top boxes and home entertainment devices like digital media players, recorders, audio, video and photo storages, CD and DVD writers and so on operating under Windows CE.
