Motorola releases ROM update for Windows Mobile Smartphone MPx220
Users of Motorola MPx220, the Windows Mobile Smartphone device can now download an updated ROM (1.43) with some enhancements, including better audio performance, more ringtone and sound settings, an SMS inbox, added contacts capacity, and additional calendar options.

The ROM installation will erase current information stored on the Smartphone, and applications, even the ones stored in miniSD card have to be reinstalled. The update is valid for US MPx220 models only.

Cingular Xpress Mail users have additional instructions available on how to re-install the Xpress mail software and configuration.
