Vodafone releases Sony Ericsson V600i on live! UMTS version

Vodafone has launched the Sony Ericsson V600i on its UMTS network in Europe. The new handset is the third Vodafone live! UMTS phone available exclusively from Vodafone.
The tri-band (900/1800/1900 MHz) phone weighs only 105 grams (105 x 45.5 x 19.5 mm) and its 900 mAh (Li-Polymer) battery can provide up to 290 hours of stand-by or up to 2 hours talk time.
With 32 MB integrated dynamic internal memory the Sony Ericsson V600i comes with a TFT LCD (176 x 220 pixels) capable of showing 262,144 TFT colours. The integrated digital camera can capture still images with a resolution up to 1,280 x 1,024 pixels or record video with resolution up to 176 x 144 pixels. It includes a 4x digital zoom feature.
Video calls can be made if both parties to the call have videotelephony-capable mobile phones and UMTS network coverage.
Users can synchronise the V600i with a PC (Microsot Outlook, Lotus Notes or SyncML) through IrDa, USB and Bluetooth.
The phone is initially available in Germany, with a price tag of EUR 49.50 in connection with a term contract and the UMTS Per-Minute Plus Package 200, and it costs EUR 89.50 in connection with the conclusion of a contract with the UMTS Per-Minute Plus Package 100 tariff. If no mobile phone contract is concluded, the phone costs EUR 599.00.
