Mio Technology launches Mio268 in Australia
Mio Technology is launching the Mio268, a handheld GPS device designed especially for drivers. The Mio268 includes a high-sensitivity GPS reception system which enables precise positioning even when the signal is weak.

The Mio268 features a query-by-coordinates function, which is according to the company themost suited for the vast spaces of Australia. For example, if a friend discovers an extraordinary but little-known scenic spot, the user need only query the destination by coordinates to obtain navigation assistance.

The built-in Mio Map includes maps of the entire Australia, and is designed for Australians who like to travel and explore. If a destination is entered just before departure, the Mio268 supports queries by road, scenic attractions, and keywords. The Mio Map also includes numerous other useful information, such as parking lots, restaurants, travel attractions, recreational facilities, and speed camera warnings.

The Mio268 can also store addresses and memos and incorporates a MP3 player.

The Mio268 is available for purchase from Strathfield, Harvey Norman, JB HiFi and Domayne. The suggested retail price is AU$899 (tax included).
