CoreCodec has announced the official name change of BetaPlayer to The Core Pocket Media Player. A new TCPMP for Palm OS, Windows Mobile Pocket PC and Smartphone devices is now available for download.
The Core Pocket Media Player is a popular Open Source Media Player for mobile devices. It is designed to make it easy for the mobile media community to play all their digital media.
“It fills a huge multimedia void for Palm users”, said Dan Marlin, Founder of the CoreCodec Audio and Video Community. “Finally there is a media player capable of playing the consumers media of choice without limitations on mobile devices. This is a prime example on how the CoreCodec community interaction of developers and end users produces a superior Open Source Project”.
The TCPMP is able to play media encoded with DivX, XviD, MP3 or AAC.
