A new software announced by Sygic turns Windows Mobile and Windows CE .Net devices into on-board navigation systems featuring voice prompted turn-by-turn guidance, detailed maps based on Navteq data, thousands of points of interest, door-to-door navigation and more.
The iDrive navigator software covers multiple countries accross Europe, including Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, Luxemburg, Netherlands, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Slovakia, Spain, Portugal, and UK & Ireland
For EUR99, the software features voice-prompted driving directions with route computation with turn restriction. The software provides a finger-friendly user interface allowing for one hand operation.
Users can define their own Points of Interest and Favorites locations, while a SDK with .NET programming support is available.
The software runs on Windows Mobile 2003 or Pocket PC OS 2002 (the software requires 12MB for program execution), and is best utilized with a storage memory card (SD, MMC or CF). It is compatible with NMEA compliant GPS receivers.
