Telecom New Zealand and Vodafone to introduce inter-carrier MMS

From 27 July customers in both networks will be able to send and receive MMS (Multimedia Message Service) between them.

The service, called Photo Message on Telecom New Zealand and PXT on Vodafone New Zealand, will cost $0.20 until 31 August 2005 from a 027 027 mobile (Telecom) to a 021 or 029 (Vodafone and Telstra Clear) mobile phone.

Vodafone New Zealand has not disclosed prices for this service yet.

Telecom customers can use this service on Hyundai TX115c, Samsung A680, Sanyo 5600, Sanyo 7400, Sanyo 8100 or Sanyo 8200 mobile phones.
