Tapwave discontinues the Zodiac Palm OS handheld
A short notice on Tapwave's website is informing visitors that the Zodiac business was discontinued and service and support are no longer available as of 25 July 2005.

The company is keeping a resources page temporarily available with links to websites where users can find tips and information as well as purchase e-books, Audible books and magazines, Palm OS applications, Zodiac skins, and third party Tapwave Certified games for the device.

Tapwave also informs that additional products, acessories, and game cards may still be available from COMPUSA, Fry's, and J&R while supplies last.

The Zodiac console has a high-resolution (480x320) display, ATI graphics acceleration, and stereo sound. It also supports vibration effects and wireless multiplayer gaming. The handheld runs a Tapwave-enhanced version of the Palm OS (5.2T) and was targeted at the entertainment segment.
