First malware to attack Windows Vista discovered
An Austrian virus writer has published five simple viruses targeting Microsoft MSH in a virus writing magazine, according to the F-Secure Blog.

F-Secure develops antivirus software for Windows PC and mobile devices.

The malware attacks the MSH, or Microsoft Command Shell, a command line interface and scripting language. It's basically a replacement for shells such as CMD.EXE, COMMAND.COM or 4NT.EXE and will ship in 2006.

The post on the company's bloh admits this is targeted at MSH, which may or may not be shipped with Windows Vista. However, it has lately been rumoured that MSH (codenamed 'Monad') might not ship with Vista at all - instead might be part of another software bundled altogether.
