Qtek has announced two new Windows Mobile Smartphones, the Qtek 8300 (left) and Qtek 8310, with the latest Windows Mobile 5.0 OS version. Both phones have a QVGA screen (240x320 pixels).
Qtek is making the two Quad-band devices (GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900MHz) available with Wireless LAN (Wi-Fi) and Bluetooth. EDGE connections are available in the United States and some European countries, with speeds of up to 236,8 kpbs (kilobits per second).
At 107,5 mm x 46,2 mm x 17,5 mm they weigh only 106g and are based on TI OMAP CPU running at 200 MHz. The built-in memory includes 64MB flash ROM and 32MB SDRAM, expandable through miniSD cards for program, data and media storage.
The basic software includes Windows Media Player 10, Pocket Internet Explorer, Pocket Outlook and support for ActiveSync. The Qtek 8300 includes dedicated media player buttons.
The Li-Ion 1050 mAh removable battery can provide 250h standby or 5h talk time.
