Samsung Releases Symbian-based Smartphones in Europe
Samsung Electronics has announced their first Symbian OS-based smartphones, the SGH-D720 and SGH-D730. These new mobile devices will be initially available for the European market. The German market wll see the new devices in August, followed by France, Italy and Russia.

The D720 has a sleek slide-up design and weighs only 110g, while the D730 is a clamshell-type phone and remarkably light at 97g.

The D720 and D730 offer synchronization over Bluetooth and SyncML and are equipped with a 1.3-megapixel camera as well as MP3 player with lyrics support. The D720 also supports stereo sound with a built-in stereo speaker system.

The phones have an internal storage capacity of 18MB and support an external memory storage capacity up to 512MB. Data can be transferred through a USB connection.
