InsecureMagazine Publishes Pocket PC Security Article
InsecureMagazine in its issue 1.3 (August 2005) is reporting on "PDA attacks: palm sized devices - PC sized threats", with a very technical focus on Windows Mobile Pocket PC devices.

The author, Seth Fogie, works with security research company Airscanner Corp.

In the first of a three parts series on PDA attacks and defenses the author examines different types of attacks to Pocket PC devices. It includes considerations on cab files, autorun, soft and hard resets, DOS (Denial-of-service), Javascript and CSS bugs on Pocket Internet Explorer, keyboard loggers, Pocket Internet Explorer DOM and Binaries modifications.

The series will end with a look at steps to improve security and prevent such attacks happening.

The magazine is a free Acrobat Reader file download.
