Zingy Inc. has announced the acquisition of mobile information pioneer Vindigo. With the acquisition, Zingy will be able to provide content in every major category from personalization and entertainment to information and community.
Zingy content is available through every major carrier in North America, as well as Latin America. The Company provides content management and distribution services to a variety of partners including carriers and media companies, as well as mobile marketing services to more than 150 brands.

The company has been working in the personalized mobile media market with content such as ringtones, ringbacks and wallpapers. Zingy has content distribution agreements with more than 400 partners and 4,000 songwriters and artists.
Vindigo is best known for information and subscription services such as the Vindigo CityGuide. Vindigo acquired waymobile.com back in October 2004. Its content also includes artcles from The New York Times, MapQuest, and CelebrityNow, plus FotoShare, mobile chat and dating.
