Nero is introducing new solutions that enable the installation of a complete VoIP environment within a company, based on their SIPPS platform.
The SIPPS clients are administered by the new version of the SIPPSTAR VoIP server. The SIPPSTAR VoIP server is protected while connected to the Internet by the new SIPPSTAR DMZ Proxy.
Phone conversations are held either via the SIPPS VoIP software telephone in conjunction with a PC, via VoIP hardware telephones or using PDAs with the new SIPPS Mobile.
Once SIPPS Mobile has been installed on a compatible Windows Mobile 2003 device, business travelers can make VoIP calls via wireless connections while out of the office.
A further innovation is the possibility of conducting video phone calls via the Internet using SIPPS. This option can be used over the entire length of the conversation or activated and deactivated "on-the-fly". A one-way transmission of the video stream is also possible ("unidirectional video").
The supplied TAPI interface allows direct dial-up of contacts from Outlook or any other TAPI compatible application.
