Canada's Bell Mobility Brings MSN Messenger to Mobile Phones
Bell Mobility, a Canadian mobile operator, is using OZ software to power its mobile Instant Messaging solution. The software allows customers to connect to Microsoft's MSN Messenger IM service on their mobile phones.

Canadians send more than 3.4 million mobile text messages a day, and the company wants to increase the Instant Messaging market on cellular networks with this new offering.

The solution is currently deployed with a gateway to the MSN Messenger service, but the platform allows wireless subscribers' with the ability to connect to MSN Messenger, Yahoo! or AOL services using the same login and seeing the same contacts that they have on their PC.

Bell Mobility users can connect to their existing MSN accounts by downloading the Mobile IM client over-the-air and directly to their phone. Once completed, consumers are ready to connect to their MSN Messenger list.
