Good Technology, Inc. is deploying a new functionality on their GoodLink platform, enabling companies running it to have real-time access to corporate voicemails on wireless handhelds.
The new functionality, called mVoiceMail, is the result of a partnership with MotionApps, a wireless handheld computing applications provider, and will link GoodLink with enterprise unified messaging systems from Cisco, Avaya and other unified messaging enablers.
Unified messaging systems forward the voicemail as a WAV file to the users’ corporate e-mail account, which is automatically synchronized to the handheld via GoodLink. Using MotionApp’s mVoiceMail WAV player and GoodLink’s attachment handling, users can play, forward or save voicemails directly on their handheld with just a few clicks.
GoodLink support for customers with unified communications is available today through mVoiceMail for Treo handhelds.
