i-mate USA, Inc. has signed an agreement with CellStar to distribute i-mate mobile devices to wireless carriers and retailers across the USA and Mexico.
The agreement enables CellStar to offer i-mate mobile handsets to its network of wireless carriers, agents, resellers, dealers and retailers.
"This agreement with CellStar will give i-mate a much stronger presence in the North American and Latin American markets and greatly increase our visibility with consumers in these areas," said Jon Driscoll, president of i-mate USA. "We will work closely with CellStar to drive sales of i-mate products and raise awareness of the brand among wireless consumers."
i-mate currently offers an array of mobile handsets for the North, South and Latin American wireless markets. The i-mate JAM, the company's most popular handset, is the world's slimmest Windows Mobile Pocket PC mobile phone and has received top reviews from media around the world. Its latest offerings include the i-mate Jasjar (pictured), a Pocket PC Phone Edition with VGA screen (640x480 pixel) compatible with 3G (UMTS) and Wi-Fi networks, with a digital camera for live video calls (where supported by the network) and a screen that swivels to reveal a built-in keyboard.
