Mindjet Corporation has announced availability of Mindjet MindManager Pro 6, available from 20 September 2005. The software is a tool for graphically representing the communications within the business: from capturing meeting notes to creating sales campaigns and drafting business plans in an “at-a-glance” view.
This new version comes with enhanced integration with Microsoft Office, and each resulting Mindjet MindManager Pro 6 “map” can contain additional information via hyperlinks to documents, spreadsheets and presentations. Maps can also be connected to corporate applications and databases, and to Web services.
Mindjet technology promises a flexible and creative way for users to capture, organize, and share information. Mindjet MindManager Pro 6 captures the information in an intuitive interface integrated with XML, HTML and the Microsoft Office suite of applications, including Word, Excel, Vision, PowerPoint, Outlook and Project.
The software also brings enhanced digital ink suppor for Tablet PC users, who can now enter notes using digital ink, and have these notes translated into text when exported to other software.
Mindjet MindManager Pro 6 costs US$$349 per seat, but discounts are available in quantity. A light version, Mindjet MindManager Basic 6, is available for those who do not need features such as Excel, Visio integration, multiple attachments, power filtering, custom properties, review mode for teams or timing clock and costs US$229 per seat.
