Software Allows Users to Manage Microsoft SQL Servers from Mobile Devices
Brett Hawton, the original author of Diagnostic Manager for SQL Server has created CompactDBA, for Windows Mobile Pocket PC devices.

This is the first .NET application written for the Windows Mobile Operating System that contains SQL Server Monitoring, Diagnosis, and full capabilities of Microsoft's SQL Server native tools such as ISQL and Enterprise Manager in a Cell Phone or PDA.

The server overview screen provides key SQL Server Performance metrics in 5 Key areas, including Processes, Users, SQL batches, and Transactions per second. These metrics are an indication of activity occurring within the SQL Server environment.

The software also provides information on network activity on the SQL Server as well as network card stress. And if this is not enough then I/O, CPU and Memory usage is also reported.

Users can issue TSQL commands to the server directly from the mobile device.

The software is licenced per SQL instance to be monitored, and comes with a server component and a Windows Mobile program.
