Palm, Microsoft and Verizon Wireless to Hold Press Conference: Palm Windows Mobile Introduction?
Palm, Inc., Microsoft Corporation and Verizon Wireless have announced a Press Conference for 26 Sept 2005. Present at this event will be Ed Colligan, Palm, Inc. president and chief executive officer; Bill Gates, Microsoft chairman and chief software architect; and Denny Strigl, president and chief executive officer of Verizon Wireless.

Admission will be limited to members of the business and technology news media.

Webcasts and podcasts will be available soon afterwards, with options for 56 kbps, 100 kbps and 300 kbps or broadband.

The announcement came soon after images of a rumoured new Palm Treo 700w device surfaced on the Internet, through the technology website Engadget.
