Greenlight Wireless Adds Translation Services into Skweezer

Posted on 27-Sep-2005 02:03 | Filed under: News

Greenlight Wireless Corporation now provides an online translation service through its partner WorldLingo. The service is part of Skweezer, a service which optimizes Web content for mobile phones, smartphones and PDAs.

Skweezer's new translation feature allows a user to translate any Web page into 13 possible languages including Japanese, Korean, and Russian. The addition of this new feature was prompted by a recent survey of Skweezer customers and wireless carriers working with Greenlight Wireless. Both groups, especially those representing countries in South America and Europe, described a need to regularly access content in a non-native language while away from their desktop computer.

WorldLingo was chosen to provide Skweezer's translation component after in-house testing found their solution to be the most accurate and the easiest to integrate of those tested. "WorldLingo is the best of breed when it comes to real-time online translation," said Kevin Perkins, CEO of Greenlight Wireless. "They have a proven track record, providing translation for companies such as Microsoft and AT&T, as well as a desire to innovate that fits well with Greenlight Wireless' company culture."
