The new OS comes with updated Pocket PC versions of Office applications, including Word Mobile, Excel Mobile and a PowerPoint Viewer.

Two models will be available, both based on an Intel PXA270 312 MHz processor. The Pocket LOOX N500 will have 64MB RAM and 64MB flash ROM, while the Pocket LOOX N520 will come with 64MB RAM and 128MB flash ROM. Memory can be expanded through SD or MMC cards.

The display is a 3.5-inch, 240 x 320 (QVGA) color transflective TFT Touchscreen. When fully charged the battery can provide up to 500 hours standby time. The device measures 116 x 71x 14 mm and weighs 160g.
