Posted on 8-Oct-2005 07:15 | Filed under: News

GoDB is a multi-platform rapid application development tool for developing mobile business applications. Applications developed once on the GoDB platform can run on popular OS such as Windows, Linux, Palm OS, Windows Mobile, and Symbian. The IDE comes with a GUI form builder, Scripting engine and Embedded RDBMS database.

Consigntech had launched GoDB IDE version 3.4 in November 2004. The 3.4 version supported Windows CE 3,4 & 5, Windows Mobile 2003 Pocket PC, Smartphone Edition and all Win32 PC series.

With the launch of Windows Mobile 5.0 by Microsoft, Consigntech has also added support for Windows Mobile 5.0 and Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition in their latest version.

Other new features include the ability to extend applications using Native DLL based objects; enterprise contols such as grids, lookup tables; 2D game functions and enhancements to the GBasic language.

The company have plans to release a Lite edition without the embedded database, targeting non-enterprise developers looking to develop utilities, application and 2D games.
