Singapore-based Qool Labs has announced its latest multimedia mobile devce, QDA Oh!. The new handheld runs on a Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition OS and is based on the Freescale iMX21 266MHz processor.
The company says the QDA Oh! is capable of processing capability similar to that of other handhelds based on a 500 MHz CPU. The platform has a bus master interface (BMI), which reduces the overhead to external graphics chips that enhances the 2D & 3D experience.
QDA Oh! is packed with features such as expandable memory, 1.3 megapixel camera, 3D Gaming experience, MSN messenger, Pocket versions of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word, 6 party-conference calling, Pocket Outlook, Pocket Internet Explorer.
The QDA Oh! features a 2.8" TFT QVGA (240x320 pixels) screen. The phone part of this new PDA works on tri-band GSM/GPRS (900/1800/1900 mhz) networks.
The built-in 1.3 megapixel digital camera comes with built-in flash and 8x continuous digital zoom.
Apart from the standard Windows Mobile default games (Jawbreaker and Solitaire), the QDA Oh! also includes games such as Snails and Flux.
A detachable keypad cover is specially made for QDA Oh!, offers users screen protection and instant dialing and SMS messaging input.
QDA Oh! will be available in the last quarter of 2005 and prices are not available yet.
