Intermec 761 Rugged Pocket PC Phone Edition Approved for Verizon Connections
The rugged Intermec 761 Pocket PC Phone Edition is now approved to connect to Verizon on its CDMA 1xRTT network, with support for voice and data transmission.

Designed to withstand daily use in harsh environments, the Intermec 761 device features A-GPS location capabilities, and a range of communications options, including optional WLAN (wireless LAN) and Bluetooth.

The device measures 191 mm (7.53 in.) x 90 mm (3.5 in.) x 50 mm (1.97 in.) and weighs 483-568 grams (17-20 oz.) depending on options.

It is based on anIntel Xscale processor running at 400 MHz and comes with 64 MB RAM and 64 MB Flash ROM. Memory can be expanded through Secure Digital (SD) or CompactFlash (CF) Type II cards.

It also includes a built-in barcode scanner and it can withstand a 5 foot drop, 26 times to concrete.
