Bitstream Inc. has released ThunderHawk Symbian Series 60 (S60) Edition. The new version gives users of select Symbian platform devices access to the ThunderHawk technology, including the browser's unique split screen view for effortless navigation on small screen phones.
ThunderHawk Symbian Series60 (S60) Edition complies with Symbian interface guidelines. It is similar to browsing on the desktop because ThunderHawk includes functionality that enhances the user experience.
The ThunderHawk browser enables users to move between "full screen" and "split screen" viewing modes, making information easy to find and easy to read on Symbian devices.
In addition to the personal edition, ThunderHawk Enterprise Edition enables organizations with high security standards to host ThunderHawk in-house by purchasing a fully configured ThunderHawk server, as well as ThunderHawk Symbian Series 60 (S60) user licenses as needed. The advantage of this turnkey appliance is that the server comes preconfigured so there is less of a burden on the enterprise IT department during the installation process.
Along with public website access, ThunderHawk Enterprise Edition enables organizations and employees using Symbian Series 60 devices to view applications behind the corporate firewall, including intranet and database information. All upstream data is always 128 bit encrypted, and all downstream data is 128 bit encrypted on all secure pages.
