GlobalSat Introduces BTA-809 Bluetooth Audio Gateway for Apple iPod
Tawainese company GlobalSat, well known for its GPS receivers and Bluetooth products is introducing the GlobalSat BTA-809 Bluetooth Audio Gateway for Apple iPod media players.

Compatible with iPod nano, 3G, 4G, 5G and iPod Mini, the GlobalSat BTA-809 turns the Apple iPod into a wireless music center.

Using Bluetooth wireless technologies the Audio Gateway transmits digital sound to compatible Bluetooth audio receivers up to 10m away. The BTA-809 audio kit consists of a transceiver device and a Bluetooth headset.

It is simple plug-and-go device which supports the standard Bluetooth A2DP and AVRCP profiles for consistent and clear stereo sound quality and remote control functionality.

The device connects directly to the Apple iPod via USB interface, and enables the Apple iPod to transfer the stereo audio signal wirelessly to the BTH-820 headsets or any Bluetooth headphones.

The GlobalSat BTA-809 is a Bluetooth version BTv 1.2, Class 2 device (up to 10m range), with a stand-by time of up to 80 hours and play time of up to 7 hours.
